SSI is working with our local representative Suprafilt to supply disc diffusers for the high efficiency aeration system to be installed at the Liverpool WwTW. The plant treats a daily average of 244,880 m3/day serving a population of about 600,000 people. The system will consist of 16 basins each fitted with 4,400 pcs of SSI’s AFD270 fine bubble disc diffuser. The aeration system is part of a strategic plan to reduce the overall power consumption of the plant and is scheduled for completion in 2015. The project has been featured in the December 2012 issue of the UK’s Water & Wastewater Treatment. An excerpt of the article can be found below and the complete issue can be found by clicking here . Keep checking back for updates on the project as we progress! SSI will begin shipping the membrane diffusers for the wastewater treatment plant.
